Week 16 - User Testing #2

After last week's results we were very exited to continue with our user test on various people and see the effects shared music has on people who have never met each other before.
This week we matched the participants playlists and chose to play them a 'First Aid Kit' song, based on their favourite artists and songs. The general atmosphere in the car was a bit awkward at first - they were not making eye contact most of the time and were looking mostly Forward and sideways. We realised that moments of silence creates bigger awkwardness. But as the song kept on playing we noticed that the interaction between our participants became more calm, less awkward and pleasant - They Talked about the song and the band, which brought up a common topic - Sweden (one of the participants is Swedish and the other participant likes the band which is from Sweden).

The Final Stretch
This weekend we finally took Cooper out for a test. At 8:00am on Friday morning all our group met at north Tel Aviv to film our final video for the final event!
For our video we brought cooper, 6 different cars, window cleaner for the car windows, a professional camera and some other props. With the help of Eden, Mia’s boyfriend and his friend Raz we were able to film a very professional movie. We all act in small parts of the movie as different passengers, but the main actors were Barel as the driver, and Gal, Dana’s sister, as the passenger that takes many boring and awkward shared rides. But then, she met Cooper - and thats when the story changes. We used aibon, Daniel’s friend, as our storyteller and we feel like the extra help we got made this movie what it is now - we are extremely satisfied with the results and grateful for our friends that helped us make this movie the best as possible.

We are now doing some final adjustments to Cooper, and making sure he will work 100% at the final event.
This experience at the Milab, has been a crazy ride and we are extremely thankful that we had the opportunity to take part of it.

We filmed for about 4 hours and edited for another 6 hours - and the whole day was really fun and fulfilling.
The people that Never met Cooper thought he is really “cute” and “funny” and he really did make a lighter environment in the car. Some moments did feel awkward as some of the people never met one another, and the second Cooper played a song, everyone started smiling and the mood changed (even at the parts we were not recording).

This coming week we will work on improving the choreography and movements of Cooper and make sure things go smoothly. In addition, we are working on our pitch for the final event, so we can explain all the advantages Copper has and how he effects awkward situations in shared rides/
